your home buying journey
Buying a bunnyhome is going to be the most exciting journey of your life!
When you’ve set your heart on your beautiful new home you just want to be in, settled and living your new life in super-quick time. At bunnyhomes we do everything we can to make that happen, so here’s what we need to do to make that dream a reality:
step 01
let's reserve
You’ve found the bunnyhome of your dreams, so the first thing we need to do is reserve it. You can call or email us to get the ball rolling but then we’ll need to meet to go through all the details and the necessary paperwork, accompanied by a cuppa of course.
We’ll explain how the process works, including the reservation fee, anticipated handover dates and your cancellation rights. Providing you’re happy with everything we’ll complete the Reservation Checklist together, and your bunnyhome will be secured!
step 02
always here for you
The bunnyhomes team will be in regular contact with you throughout the entire process, keeping you up to date on the build progress and answering any questions along the way.
We understand that you’ll have lots of things to consider when moving home, such as taking time off work and arranging removals. We do our utmost to keep you fully informed on when your home is expected to be ready and if there are any changes we’ll let you know without delay.
step 03
make it personal
We’re not just building homes, we’re building your bunnyhome. Depending on the build stage we’re at when you reserve (must be pre-roof), we give you the chance to personalise it to your own taste before you move in.
For example, you can choose from gorgeous kitchen styles and upgrade to luxurious stone worktops. We’ll make an appointment for you to come in to review all the options and make your selections. Exciting!
step 04
popping in
As much as we love to have our bunnyhomers popping in, site visits must always be pre-booked to ensure your safety. We’ll deck you out in our glamorous high-vis vests and hard hats and will accompany you at all times. Your health and safety on site is of utmost importance to us.
step 05
it's demo time
Once we’ve exchanged contracts and your home has passed its Quality Assurance Inspection meeting NHBC standards, we’ll invite you for a full demo of your new home.
Our Site Manager will show you how everything works and invite you to try things for yourself, like the heating and hot water system, the kitchen appliances and where to find your stopcocks.
This is a milestone visit — you’re nearly ready to move in! We hope you’ll enjoy as much time and attention you need at this exciting and important part of the journey.
step 06
the big day
This is the moment you’ve been waiting for! You can expect a clean, warm, inviting bunnyhome that is completely ready for you on handover day.
We know you’ll be eager to get in on moving day, so we’ll be happy to give you access to unload your furniture while we wait for confirmation that funds have cleared. Once solicitors have confirmed your purchase has completed, we’ll formally hand over your keys, take meter readings and complete all moving-day checks with you.
Then we’ll leave you to it, to enjoy this momentous day! We’ll also give you your bunnyhomes information pack to read in your own time.
step 07
courtesy call
As you’ll typically move in on a Friday one of the bunnyhomes team will pop round the following Monday, to check if there’s anything more we can do to help you settle in. We’ll then arrange two further visits – one at 7 days and one at 28 days. This gives you two more opportunities to tell us about anything that’s not quite right or to ask any further questions.
But don’t fret if you forget to raise something during these visits because…
step 08
it doesn't end there
At bunnyhomes we place the highest priority on service and satisfaction. Our two-year Customer Care package, complete with in-house customer service team is on-hand to help when needed, quickly and efficiently.
For extra peace of mind, all our new-build bunnyhomes come with an NHBC warranty covering any structural defects that may appear in the first ten years.
